  • Jackie Barrow, Author, Illustrator, Editor, Book Designer, & Publsher

    Jackie Barrow is a retired attorney, businesswoman, and nonprofit leader. She has published extensively in the areas of law, health care, and business.

    Currently, Mrs. Barrow is publishing G-rated stories for children, families, and multigenerational audiences such as Trey's Dragon, Clancy the Cat, Mud Pies and Grandpa's Treasure.

    In addition, she writes PG - R rated stories about history, mystery, true crime, and even a bit about Agatha Christie. These include her short story, The Perilous Plight of the Socialite, a true crime case that Mrs. Barrow compares to the Queen of Crime's fictional story, The Mysterious Affair at Styles.

    Mrs. Barrow is also an artist and has published art books for children, including six that feature cover art created by kids. She has also published three "Story & Art Journals," which encourage the love of storytelling, writing, art, and illustrating in elementary aged children.

    Mrs. Barrow and her husband have been married for 40+ years. They have one son who is also married. He and his wife have one child, the object of Mrs. Barrow's greatest affection! She also has an intriguing muse - her black cat named Poe.

  • Wayne K Johnson, Author

    Wayne K Johnson is a retired farmer, businessman, real estate appraiser, and US Veteran. Although he has been a storyteller all his life, it wasn't until he turned 90 and retired that he began publishing his stories.

    Writing for both adults and children, Mr. Johnson writes stories dubbed, "Stories from the Heartland." based on his life-long residency in rural Missouri.

    Currently, Mr. Johnson has two G-rated children's books out with another coming soon. These are wholesome stories filled with good clean fun, adventure, and even a little mystery. Although people of all ages seem to love Mr. Johnson's stories, these chapter books are written at about the fourth-grade level. Picture books are planned for the future for a younger audience.

    In addition, one of Mr. Johnson's adult stories was recently selected for publication in the first ever Mark Twain anthology from the Hannibal Writer's Guild, "Good Nonsense." And a book will be coming out soon with several of Mr. Johnson's PG-R rated short stories for adults.

    Fortunately, Mr. Johnson continues to write almost every day so be sure and check back frequently to catch his newest work. Mr. Johnson and his wife have been married 65+ years. They have five daughters and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
